Company History

Cowleys Termite & Pest Services was founded in October 1991 by Drew Cowley. He just left a sales position in the publishing industry. Frustrated in his efforts to find work in publishing, Drew began to look at other opportunities.

He accepted a position selling extermination services for a local pest control company. Drew immediately fell in love with the industry. Three month later he "maxed" out his credit cards, earned a pest control operators license, purchased the necessary equipment, and began operating Cowley's Termite & Pest Services from his basement.

For the next 4 years Drew continued to grow the exterminating business primarily as one man operation. He soon established an impeccable reputation for prompt, quality service at a fair price. The referrals came rolling in. Drew was very, very busy. He wore many hats and worked long hours away from his family.

In 1996, tired and exasperated, Drew recruited the talents of his older brother Bill. Bill Cowley had just sold his athletic footwear business and was looking for a new challenge.

The resulting partnership is yielding tremendous results. Cowleys Termite & Pest Services now services all of Monmouth and Ocean Counties and the surrounding areas. The business has moved from Drew's basement to an office on Rt. 35 in Neptune City. Cowleys Termite & Pest Services is now a full-service,16 vehicle operation with 20 full-time employees servicing over 5000 residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
